Steps to reproduce:

Visiting certain websites causes firefox to hang.


Actual results:

At first, visiting a DailyMail article reproduced this issue consistently.  Per the advice of a member at the MozillaZine forum, I restarted in safemode, and it didn't hang.

I updated Status4Evar and AdBlocker Plus, and it didn't hang, so I thought the problem went away.  But then it got stuck again on an eBay listing.

This issue has been popping up in between betas.  The last Beta didn't have it, but I think the one before that did.

I just wanted to make one correction.

I did not update the Status4Evar plugin as I wrote, in fact that plugin has been at the same version for a little while.

What I did do was also update Classic Theme Restorer, which is a popular plugin that gives Firefox the classic look.

Hi, can you reproduce this in release?

I suspect it is one of the two hangs (which are very similar) from bug 1207766 or bug 1209235.
They seem to have been masked (at least partially) when Fx41 was in Beta.

If you can reproduce, would you mind testing in Beta (Fx42) with the following pref set (in about:config):

dom.ipc.plugins.asyncInit=false

We think they are now fixed by another change and we are looking into uplifting that fix.
