Description:
If the user scrolls the homescreen quickly the icons will not be visible. This is more noticeable when the homescreen is long because of lots of app groups or having lots of apps installed. This is very noticeable when at the bottom of the screen and pressing the home button because it scrolls to the top quickly.

Notes:
This issue seems to occur more often with an app open in the background.

Repro Steps:
1) Update a Aries to 20150916015546
2) Scroll to the bottom of the homescreen
3) Press the home button
4) Observe Icons

Actual:
The icons are not visible when scrolling the screen quickly

Expected:
It is expected that the icons are visible when scrolling through the screen

This issue DOES occur on Flame 2.5.

I don't think this is a real regression, just another case of Gecko not keeping up with painting. Changes here and there may cause slightly more or slightly less checkerboarding on different layouts. Last time I looked, the homescreen is basically one layer, so we can't do much about paint speed without sacrificing certain things (e.g. text-shadow, which is quite expensive to render, or a transparent background, which (probably) makes text more expensive to render).
