I think this is expected; at least, it's the same in Chrome. BTW, it only appears to be an issue in the white-background rectangle in the center of the page; some text around the edges of the page can still be selected.

The rendering of the webpage seems to be broken, I see some */ ?> Maybe some errors in the source code.
Maybe a reader mode will allow to select the text?
