User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150826023504 Steps to reproduce: Lately when using Hotmail/Outlook web-based email, my contacts' information is not displaying properly in the People Category. Details that were saved in the various fields, such as Phone numbers, Company name, and Other categories, for example, are no longer displaying on the main screen when selecting that contact. Those fields now appear blank. This affects all contacts; new and old. This issue does not occur when using Safari browser. All contact details are present on the page when selecting a contact in Safari. Actual results: When I go to People and search for a person, their contact page comes up but it shows only very limited information for the person, and sometimes nothing is listed under their name in the various fields. The fields are present under the contact's name but they are blank, so I cannot see what I need at a glance. Those details will only display if I click on Edit. When I click Edit the contact's page opens and shows all the miscellaneous fields and the data that was entered in those fields. Expected results: The person's complete contact information and all other details that were entered for the contact should display on the main page for that contact when you select that contact. The information is clearly being saved by Outlook, because when you click Edit, all their information is there, it's just not being displayed from the very beginning on the main page for the contact.
I think it's a similar issue reported on the French support board: https://forums.mozfr.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=125769&hilit=outlook The details of the contact (re)appears only when the user want to edit the contact profile.
I tested myself, indeed the contact profile is partially displayed, even with an old version of Firefox like FF8: http://imgur.com/t4bHDqW Probably TE bug.
Thank you. What is a TE bug? And is it something that Firefox can fix or is this a Microsoft problem? It seems like a number of Hotmail issues lately are affecting Firefox but not Safari. On 7-28-15 I reported that the Calendar "Go To" function in Hotmail is also broken in Firefox. The months don't change when you arrow back in time to search for emails from a prior month/year. This function works perfectly in Safari though. I don't like to use Safari even though I'm a Mac user, but it's getting to the point where I cannot work effectively with my email anymore in Firefox without having to open Safari to perform basic email functions that are now "broken" in Firefox. I reported both issues to Microsoft and was told that the new Windows 10 rollout has caused a number of issues like what I have reported. However I know for certain that the Go To calendar function was broken well before Windows 10 came out. Can't say for sure when I first noticed the change on the contacts issue. Can anyone figure out why these bugs are affecting only Firefox and not Safari? Is it Microsoft who is not writing scripts for Firefox or is it the other way around? (Pardon me if I use the terminology incorrectly.) I have always had excellent results when using Firefox in the past, but these email glitches are forcing me to use Safari more and more often. I hope you will be able to help resolve this. Thank you.
Gecko does not display aria-label attribute. WORKAROUND(maybe): @-moz-document domain("people.live.com") { #c_content div:empty::after { content: attr(aria-label); }
Summary: Hotmail/Outlook.com Contact details do not display fully in People Category → Hotmail/Outlook.com Contact details do not display fully in People Category due to the aria-label attribute
Any thoughts, Marco? Does MS need to fix its website code?

Sorry, mislead |aria-label| thing is only showed a workaround. And it is not related to this bug.
Summary: Hotmail/Outlook.com Contact details do not display fully in People Category due to the aria-label attribute → Hotmail/Outlook.com Contact details do not display fully in People Category

Other browsers show the items properly. Only Firefox is broken.

Seems like aria-label is completely unrelated, so I'm removing the NI for me here. I don't think I have anything useful to contribute to this bug. Layout, especially visual layout, isn't exactly my specialty, being totally blind. ;)

Yep, sorry for the NI, it was a false alarm. :)

Mike, do you think this is a TE bug?

Would you mind re-testing? This works for me in Firefox 50 (Developer Edition) -- it's possible this is something that Microsoft fixed.

Sorry to say this but People (formerly contacts) still does not work properly for all my contacts. There are glitches with Outlook.com and Firefox, although the summary card now seems to accurately portray what is in the Contact's card if you open it, so thank you for your assistance with that. Oddly though, when searching for a particular contact, Outlook People lists the contact in the drop-down menu, but when I click on it to select it, Outlook People tells me I do not have a contact by that name. (This doesn't happen for all contacts, just some.) When I manually scroll down through my list of contacts, I am able to find the contact that Outlook just told me I do not have. When I open that contact's card, there is no ability for me to Edit the contact's info. Edit does not even appear as an option at the top of the window. Why is this? Perhaps this strange behavior is linked to the same glitch that causes the contact's name to appear in the drop down menu, which Outlook claims does not exist a contact. I have to go to my iPhone and access that contact's information in order to make changes. Because my Hotmail/Outlook email is synchronized with my iPhone, any changes made to the contact on the iPhone will appear on the desktop version of Outlook People, so at least I can make changes that way. But ideally the two should be synchronized and interchangeable. A change made on Outlook.com via Firefox on my desktop computer should result in the same change in my Outlook.com contacts on my iPhone, and vice versa. Other contacts that I search for and open in FF, allow me to edit their information but only to a certain point. in FF, Outlook People by default lists every email address and phone number under the category of Personal. For the vast majority of contacts, I can't change the email field to the proper heading, such as Work, Other, etc. I have to renter their email address again under Work or Other (if those options come up), but 99% of the time those other field options do not come up. For those that do not bring up other field designations, I'm stuck with multiple emails all under the Personal heading. That makes no sense whatsoever, and it's very confusing when trying to send someone an email to their work email versus their home email or the reverse. All contacts should have the same options as far as editing the various fields goes and all contacts should be able to be edited in FF, yet there seems to be no rhyme or reason for these variations from one contact to another.
