User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0
Build ID: 20150918030202
Steps to reproduce:
Downloads suddenly silently failing. Even tried using the download link in a new tab, to no avail.
First noticed on 43.0a1 (2015-09-17). Some bugs seem to indicate a downloading problem has already been fixed; but I'm still having this issue on 43.0a1 (2015-09-18)
Actual results:
Was trying to download my bank activity as I've done for years (with Ask me every time); but the download arrow animates as it does at the end of a download without asking where to save the file. Same occurs on PDF files which are setup to open in okular -- just the download complete; but won't open. Other than download history showing "<file>\nFailed -- <site> -- <time>", I see no other error indication. Retry simply updates <time>.
Using wireshark (no capture filters), I see DNS requests for the server; but no communication to the site itself.
[Used FF40.0.3/Wine to get my files.]
Expected results:
Download should occur.
Component: Untriaged → Downloads Panel
OS: Unspecified → Linux
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
No-one else seeing this? It's really aggravating as I have to use another browser or wget to access files. I'm running Mageia 5 which I keep up-to-date -- maybe a recent update is the cause... any suggestion as to which libs are related to downloading?
ARGH!! Not definite; but after disabling AdBlock, downloads started working. Re-enabled & they still work... Will monitor.
