I tracked down a regression to this bug. After this commit all icons in the file picker are broken. This is on Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon with Firefox Nightly (GTK3).

The warning I get:
Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'folder' for stock: Unrecognized image file format
The missing format seems to be svg.
