120759 - Frequent bookmark corruption with Umlauts

Every now and then I open a folder in my bookmarks to find Bookmarks with names
containing national characters, e.g. ä (a with two dots), ç (French c with
cedille), ñ (Spanish n with wave on top), etc. corrupted. Bookmarks which I do
not use so often sometimes have up to 100 rubbish characters instead of the one
national character, while those that I use frequently and correct almost every
day only have one or two special characters. It seems that each time while
saving the bookmarks, or each time opening them, or each time the browser
crashes for some reason something goes wrong.
Some time ago I tried to share the bookmarks file with Netscape 4.7x, but since
I have given that up, it still occurs. I am using Mozilla 0.9.6 on Linux
exclusively with this file.

Just that I do not need to export them. I see the corruption when just using
them inside Mozilla.

Did someone work on this without mentioning here or in discussion about bug
109519? I have now been running 0.9.9 for a few days, and I have not seen any
new corruption since updating from 0.9.8 to 0.9.9.

Hmm, reported too early. Now I have experienced the corruption again twice in
the last week (still working with the 0.9.9 release). I think I see the
corruption after some crashes, but I am not sure which ones...
