It started few days ago that nightly firefox on my galaxy nexus (Android 4.3) cannot navigate to any URL, be it about:*, file:///storage, or https? links.

On the Open Menu
Find in Page
Page
Settings
Help
menu items are greyed out.

Selecting any entry from the Tools menu shows the associated about: url in the location bar, but the tab stay blank, with no progress stripe showing either.

I have switched locales from my usual German to English (US) and it does not help either.

I used Firefox 41.0, which works fine on the same device, to download

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-central-android-api-11/fennec-44.0a1.multi.android-arm.apk

yesterday and today.

Downloads and installs fine, but shows the same problems.

anaran: |adb logcat| output is the only way forward here.

I am able to visit about: and https: urls when I start a Guest Session.
Another thing I forgot: Nightly does prompt me for the password of the Security Device when I start it as regular user. It seems to accept my input, but then can't visit an URLs.
