Reproducible steps:
1.Run camera application

2.Put camera in front of something(e.g. cup)

3.Remember what you seen in camera preview

4.Take a picture

5.Open the picture you took

6.You can see picture has something which you didn't seen in preview as step 3 description.

Hi Hema, as you can see from the attached screenshots/picture, indeed the actual picture is larger than the preview one. could you help to find someone to check this bug?

Since this bug's summary is prefixed 2.1, I assume that's the build version. However not quite clear what device is used for testing. 

Anyway for 2.1, the preview size is closest to the screen size and picture size is the largest supported by the device. 

however around december 2014 (I think this probably is in 2.2 and beyond), because of bugs/issues with video capturing, there was a fix that went in to match the preview size with the aspect ratio of the picture.
