Now that we have AppConstants.jsm, we can definitely remove the preprocessing from about.js.

about.xhtml is harder, however:
* extract a DTD entity for the display version;
* conditionally hide parts of the UI from JavaScript.

I'm not sure how challenging it is to produce a preprocessed DTD.  Definitely conditionally showing and hiding parts of the UI from JS is not challenging.
