Preconditions - - - - - - - - You must be using Linux Ubuntu - You must have LibreOffice 5.x installed Steps to reproduce - - - - - - - - - 1- Go to http://test.csswg.org/source/css-writing-modes-3/support/adobe-fonts/ 2- Do a left mouse button click on the link CSSHWOrientationTest.otf Actual results in Firefox 41 and Firefox 44.0a1 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A modal sub-window - will indicate that this file is an ODF file type - will offer to open the file with LibreOffice Math - will offer to download the file Expected results - - - - - - - - A modal sub-window - should indicate that this file is an OTF file type - optionally indicate that this file is an application/font-sfnt which can be opened with the Ubuntu default Font file viewer - will also offer to download the file Additional information - - - - - - - - - - - - - One other person using Ubuntu was also able to reproduce the actual results - Right now, I do not know if this bug is reproducible in non-Linux os-es - Right now, I do not know if this bug is reproducible in environments that does not have LibreOffice installed - I do not know for sure if this is a Firefox bug; therefore I am not confirming this bug report - I do not get Actual results when I use Opera 12.16 and when I use Chrome 45.0.2454.101. Opera 12.16 "thinks" the .otf file is a file type application/font-sfnt . Chrome 45 automatically starts downloading the .otf file without other options - I get Actual results with Firefox 41 buildID=20150918100310 and with Firefox 44.0a1 buildID=20150929050044 - I am using LibreOffice Version: 5.0.2.2 Build ID: 00m0(Build:2) - I use Linux 3.13.0-65-generic x86_64, Qt: 4.8.6, KDE 4.13.3; Kubuntu (trusty) 14.04.03 LTS - I have searched for duplicates and did not find any.

I looked at this bug report and I no longer believe that
this is a valid bug for Firefox.
While using Firefox 140.5.0esr under Linux
Debian 13.2, I went to
http://wpt.live/css/css-writing-modes/support/
and clicked an .otf file and a download of the file
was executed without any modal sub-window.
The mentioned Actual results and Expected results
are probably more related to how .otf files
may be file-associated with LibreOffice via parameter
settings or OS settings.
