Details
Provide a user interface to enable and disable speculative pre-connections (preference variable network.http.speculative-parallel-limit implemented by bug #814169). Also, the default for
network.http.speculative-parallel-limit should be 0 (disabled).
As pointed out in the comment at <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=814169#c33>, enabling speculative pre-connections by default constitutes a security vulnerability.

Without a user interface, users are left totally unaware of this vulnerability.

Normally, I would have submitted this bug report as an RFE. Because of the security problem cited in my original description, however, I consider bug #814169 incompletely implemented and thus submitted this as Normal.

I am a SeaMonkey user, not a Firefox user. Was not bug #814169 implemented globally in Toolkit and thus in both Firefox and SeaMonkey? Or is this only in Firefox?
