User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0
Build ID: 20150929144111
Steps to reproduce:
This issue was first reported by a colleague in Canada using Firefox on an iMac. I could not replicate it on my MacBook Pro. I have now set up a new Windows 10 machine with Firefox and have this issue. New Firefox and I have Refreshed Firefox this morning.
Open to a gallery page with images in Turtle skin http://www.naw.org.nz/gallery/eastershow_2015/decorated_bowls/index.html#
Actual results:
Clicking on any of the thumbnails below the larger top image should enlarge the thumbnail to full size and keep it there. On the faulty machines the large image pops up for less than a second.
Expected results:
Clicking on any of the thumbnails below the larger top image should enlarge the thumbnail to full size and keep it there.
This is an irregular issue which I have not encountered on two previous machines using Firefox and Windows XP. Nor has it been reported to the NAW webmaster.

The behavior was changed in Firefox41.
See site compat doc: https://www.fxsitecompat.com/en-US/docs/2015/urlutils-hash-no-longer-decodes-fragment/
If people encounter hard compat problems, they can go back to the old behaviour by setting the dom.url.getters_decode_hash pref to true in about:config.

My webmaster has advised that he has a fix for the problem from jAlbum. That reads like they knew all about it but did not advise their users. Our webmaster now has a long job of rebuilding all the web pages.
No Firefox problem but thanks for considering it.

I'm going to close this bug, since there is no work to be done and the problem was described as inconsistent. It will be hard to know when it's fixed. If there is more work that needs to be done, please reopen.
