>> Feature Request Summary: add-on status confusing after gonk update >> Description of feature, or problem to be solved After updating to latest, which has a new add-on format, all pre-existing add-ons were not run (as expected). However, when viewing the add-on's section of the Settings app, there was no indication anything had changed. They all appeared installed and enabled/disabled per previous setting. This was very confusing, as it was clear they were not working. It is only after you go into a particular add-on's page that you see the notice about obsolete format. If it's too difficult to mark individual add-ons as obsolete in the main section, a notice of "some add-ons are obsolete, and no longer operating" would be helpful.
Yura could you find addon's UX to reply this? Also ni Tina(Settings UX) who also able to reply.

(In reply to Fred Lin [:gasolin] from comment #1) > Yura could you find addon's UX to reply this? Also ni Tina(Settings UX) who > also able to reply. I'm happy to take this one. Tina, would you have an idea how this should look like ideally?

Personally I tend not put much energy on this since ther're very limited and educated foxfooders would encounter this issue
I agree with Fred. There are much more important bugs to work on.
