1212236 - perfherder is really really slow

trying to use compare view in perfherder:

results in a lot of kitty time (30+ seconds)

then trying to use graphs results in lots of time loading platforms (30+ seconds):
https://treeherder.mozilla.org/perf.html#/graphs?timerange=2592000

I noticed this yesterday and it continues today- I recall watching inspector and not seeing:
https://treeherder.allizom.org/api/project/mozilla-inbound/performance/signatures/?interval=604800

a refresh took 6842ms to just get that url, for a refresh that should be blazing fast (<600ms).

Profiled, this is just bug 1207648. Need to get that fixed. :)
