If you uncheck the pref to allow Javascript to raise or lower windows, then the popup windows that www.tvguide.com uses to show the details for a program don't seem to work correctly. The window will appear, but there will be no content. I have a feeling this is a dupe, but I can't find it. Also not sure if this is Prefs or Javscript.
Not a prefs front- or back-end issue. Over to Security folks for a look.

Samir, how do you determine that it's not front-end or back-end, but security? If possible, I'd like to know how to check this so I can be more accurate when figuring out what component to assign for a bug in the future. Thanks.
The problem is that if you turn off raising/lowering windows, and a script attempts to do that, then the script will halt at that point and not finish whatever else it was doing. That's probably wrong. I have filed bug 122866 on this issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 122866 ***
