What Caldav server are you using? Is caldav scheduling enabled at the same (what wozld disable clientside email scheduling)? Are there any messages in the error log when reproducing (ctrl+shift+j)? What is your current exact version of TB and Lightning?

Ok, then please enable calendar.debug.log and calendar.debug.log.verbose in the config editor, reproduce the issue and provide the messages you get in the log. Contained private information may be obfuscated, as long you don't change the structure.

I do not understand what the bug summary is trying to tell. For example I can't tell if this is a problem description or an enhancement request. Please provide more information, like detailed steps to reproduce the issue, the actual result, and the expected result.
Hi, Stefan, very simple, I receive an event, I accept it, choose the calendar (I have 2), and then, no "Would you like to send out notification E-Mail now? Support outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002/XP". So the sender didn't receive an notification when I add this event on my caldev calender from Thunderbird/Lightning
If I do the same think with my local calendar, I have this windows at the end.

Do you have an email address configured to use for email scheduling for the respective calendar (you can do this in the calendar properties in calendar view)?
If so, can you please provide the debug log messages requested in in comment 3?

Even if that is not all of the debug output I was asking, the bug seems to be a duplicate of bug 1299610, which will implement and option to enforce clientside scheduling for outgoing scheduling operations.
This would be specifally the case, if your caldav server advertises auto-scheduling capability in response to Lightnings OPTIONS request. You can inspect this with calendar.debug.log and calendar.debug.log.verbose enabled as part of the initilization after TB startup in the error console.
