We've set up our email sending system to fail silently whenever anything goes wrong. https://github.com/mozilla/kitsune/blob/c5157e0c6df71f992fc674dff7de3f9621a06e20/kitsune/sumo/email_utils.py#L25 We should stop doing that. We may get more error email, but at least we'll know when there are problems.

I deployed this to prod, but I think we have more work to be done here, so I'm going to leave this open.

Nothing really happened here. I think this is the wrong way of approaching the problem now, so I'm going to close that out.
