1215275 - IRC Cloud tab always shows speaker icon even though sounds are intermittent

IRC cloud has intermittant sounds but the speaker shows up all the time, not just when sound is coming from this tab. It is confusing since I think that there is something playing when there isn't.

I'm guessing that you don't need any information from me so clearing the needinfo request.  :-)

I don't have IRCCloud access.  Someone who does needs to see what's going on.

Hm. I have an IRCCloud account, and when I go into Settings to turn on the background notification sound, and click "Test", I see the speaker. Once the sound is done, however, the speaker goes away.

So something is different between agrigas's IRC cloud and my own.

agrigas: which version of Firefox are you using?

It would be nice if you can get some info on what this page is doing...  Look for <audio> elements, or calls to new AudioContext() or something.  Also see if saving the page to disk and opening it from there will reproduce, that way I can debug!  Thanks a lot.

My instance of IRC Cloud asked me to activate Flash before I could play any audio.

I actually was using Nightly and just updated to todays build and no longer see the mic persistently. I'll mark this as resolved.
