Details
The following old-sync URLs seem to timeout rather than produce a 503 server response:
https://auth.services.mozilla.com/
https://setup.services.mozilla.com/
This can cause problems for people trying to configure a self-hosted sync1.1 setup, as Firefox seems to get stuck waiting for a response from the mozilla-hosted services before it will try using the custom ones, e.g. the "timeout" error mentioned in:
https://mail.mozilla.org/pipermail/sync-dev/2015-October/001273.html
If it's not too much work or infra cost, I think we should direct these URLs to an EOLinator that just sends 503s to all requests.
