Reproducible with Firefox 42 beta 8, latest Nightly 44.0a1 and Dev Ed 43.0a2 2015-10-20 (may be harder to reproduce on Nighlty and Aurora) under Mac OS X 10.8.5.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a larger file to download
2. Make sure the panel is opened while download completes

Expected results:
Downloads panel looks fine after download

Actual results:
The lateral borders of the download time indicator remains on the screen. They disappear on mouse hover or after closing and reopening the panel.

Note: The issue doesn't reproduce under Win 7 64-bit.
This regression seems very minor. We should try to fix it it nightly. I don't want to track this for 43, but if anyone comes up with a low risk fix, please request uplift to aurora.

Most likely a layout or rendering issue. If it's deterministic, it could help if it can be bisected to a specific bug. It's probably a useful thing to do since it might affect other places as well.

While this is a valid issue, I do not think this is critical enough to be tracked and called release blocking. If we do get a fix in time and it's deemed safe, I would be happy to uplift to Aurora44 or Beta44.

Per policy at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Bug_Triage/Projects/Bug_Handling/Bug_Husbandry#Inactive_Bugs. If this bug is not an enhancement request or a bug not present in a supported release of Firefox, then it may be reopened.
