If you have news.mozilla.org in your server list, go to Account Settings and
remove news.mozilla.org, or create a new profile. Then open a navigator window
and go to <news://news.mozilla.org/3C51D92E.8030201@mozilla.org>.
news.mozilla.org magically appears in your account list.

NS4.7x adds the server also to the server list.

Then 4.7 is broken too. This behavior is *not* correct. If someone points me to
an article on a news server, I do not necessarily want to have that server in my
account list.
I think Jonas is right. I think autosubscribe urls are the only time we should
add a server account.
Autosubscribe -
news://news.mozilla.org/netscape.public.test
For just viewing a single article, it doesn't seem like we need to populate the
folder pane with this account, since we don't actually download headers (heck,
we don't even add the newsgroup to the server).
Not a major bug, but certainly an annoyance.
