Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Build ID: 20151014143721 Steps to reproduce: Went to www.healthnet.com and clicked on "Provider Search Find a Doctor". Searched for a doctor within 10 miles of a zip code. I did several searches, and paged through results. I don't know if only takes one overly-long URL, or several. Actual results: On the next sync I got, "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error." The error log shows: POST fail 413 https://sync-269-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/1.5/32341439/storage/history I got the sync error repeatedly after that. Per a suggestion on the help forum, I searched for a really long URL in my history. There were 223 URLs from www.healthnet.com that were between 28k and 29k in length. I deleted them. Synch then worked. Expected results: One of the following, in order of preference: 1. History sync should accept any URL that Firefox will accept 2. Only show the error the first time, then skip over the over-long URLs without error.
Thank you for the bug report. That is bug 569295.
