12208 - Profile directory is created as "mozilla/dist/bin/?"

I deleted my ~/.mozilla directory and ran apprunner.  When it created the new
profile (mozProfile), it put it in mozilla/dist/bin/?/mozProfile instead of
~/.mozilla/mozProfile.

I cannot reproduce this with build 1999081913, my profile is put in
~/.mozilla/profile
Are you using a current build?

Yes, this was a build from this morning.  I'm clobbering and rebuilding now just
to make sure everything is clean.

Anyway, here's some more info about what I did earlier when I saw this problem.
I used the following configure options:
--disable-static
--with-gtk
--with-xlib
--disable-tests

After it finished building, I deleted ~/.mozilla as I said, cd to dist/bin, and
ran mozilla-apprunner.sh.

With a Linux build from this morning, here's what I see:

Run with my old profile (in ~/.mozilla/akkana), everything is fine.
Move aside the old profile (mv ~/.mozilla ~/.mozilla.bak) and re-run:
I go through the profile wizard, type akkana as the profile name, it brings up
apprunner, and now, if I look in the newly-created ~/.mozilla, all that's there
is registry.  My "akkana" dir is in dist/bin/^M/akkana (i.e. the name of the
subdirectory is a carriage return, possibly followed by a newline), if I'm
reading that correctly.

Your newline character in the name means this is also caused by the gfx text
widget checkin.  Marking dup of the gfx bug.
