The tab audio indicator is shown on GMail and GCal tabs if a sound is played by an action like making a phone call from GMail or having an audio notification fire from GCal. After the sound has completed and no further sound is heard, the indicator remains until the source of the sound is removed by either closing the call window (even if it is in the "call ended" state) or disabling audio notifications.

Actual:
Tab audio indicator is displayed on GMail and GCal tabs when no sound is playing.

Expected:
GMail and GCal tabs only display an audio indicator when sound is being made by these tabs.

Would be interesting to know if this reproduces w/ the work from Bug 1235612.

Interestingly, in 48.0b7 I see no audio indicator when making a call in GMail.
