User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151030075939 Steps to reproduce: Start Firefox and open any address which causes the "Opening _filename_" window to appear where no default application is assigned to it (in my case a .ts file did it). Actual results: The "Open with" dropdown field is too small and doesn't contain the arrow on the right anymore. Expected results: The "Open with" dropdown field should keep its original size.
Can you please provide an example link and a screenshot of the resulting dialog? This sounds like a duplicate of bug 1040005, aside from the lack of dropdown arrow.

It is an example file I have found on searching for HLS: http://sample.vodobox.net/skate_phantom_flex_4k/low/skate_phantom_flex_4k_228_144p1.ts In the attachments is a screenshot how the dialog looks. Also weird is if I'm clicking on the dropdown field -> Other... but then cancel to select a file the dropdown field fills automatically with an application (in my case "SciTE Text Editor (default)"). Even weird is if I'm selecting then the radio button "Open with" and clicking on "OK" the file opens with the VLC media player instead of SciTE as the dialog claimed.

Thank you for the update. (In reply to Gingerbread Man from comment #1) > This sounds like a duplicate of bug 1040005, aside from the lack of dropdown arrow. I'm convinced it's the same thing. I think the cosmetic difference is just due to the different desktop environment.
