1222823 - Tracking flag for status-firefox*=affected is still set automatically when filing SeaMonkey Trunk bugs

This was supposed to be fixed by bug 1170179 back in June already, but I still got a status-firefox42 flag set to "affected" automatically when filing bugs for SeaMonkey/Themes today. I'm using the "advanced" entry form.

On trunk (Sm 2.42a1 / Gecko 45.0a1) I see the same (status-firefox45 = affected). I also use the advanced form and the change happens when I select a Component (the Product must be chosen in advance).

P.S. I see status-firefox45=affected when "45 Branch" or "Trunk" is selected (e.g. on a Core bug). When selecting anything else (including "44 Branch", "43 Branch" or "42 Branch") all tracking flags go back to ---. When reselecting "45 Branch" or "Trunk" the tracking flag for Fx45 comes back to "affected".

I have verified that this does in fact occur for Seamonkey bugs and should only be setting affected for the following:

    "Firefox"               = [],
    "Firefox for Android"   = [],
    "Firefox OS"            = [],
    "Core"                  = [],
    "Toolkit"               = [],
    "Firefox Health Report" = [ "Client: Desktop", "Client: Android" ],

I will investigate to see why this is still happening.

Thanks for double-checking. Revisiting the history of the bugs I had filed, indeed it was status-firefox45 for me as well rather than status-firefox42, thus I'm correcting the summary.

the code sets the latest status flag if you file a bug with trunk, which is why you're seeing different results depending on when the bug was filed.

I wonder if one of the reasons of this bug isn't that the SeaMonkey UI includes by default an (optional) Firefox version number.

Example for the build I'm using at the moment:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 SeaMonkey/2.43a1

That's not likely to be the reason. All affected bugs filed be me (can't speak for others) were made with the Firefox token disabled in the UA string (and it shouldn't affect the bug-tracking flags which browser I'm using to file a bug).

This has been fixed as part of bug 1263198 and will be in production first of next week.
