BACKGROUND
I have middle-click defaulting to opening a new tab (instead of a new window).  

WHAT HAPPENS
When I middle-click a link/URL in a mail message, nothing happens. 
Left-clicking works, but takes over an existing window.

WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN
A new tab at that URL should be opened in the existing browser window.
