This is a vague bug but I file it to hear some opinions. I use build 2002012121,
RH7.2, local filesystem. Have to admit that this buid behaves pretty stable
comparing to the one I used before (week older?). Since several days it has not
crashed and I only quitted it gently several times. Nevertheless my bookmark
file got corrupted (exactly it got cut after some time).

To be more specific it got cut somewhere in the middle of Personal Toolbar
folder which made me notice it immediately (half of my favicons disappeared). No
need to say I was quite annoyed that I ve lost approx 20 bookmarks in following
part of the file I cannot reproduce easily (and - poor me - dii not have
backup).I will attach the file - but I do not think this will help to examine
why it got corrupted (unless somebody already knows what is wrong).

In most file systems the save way to create non-corrupted files is to save them
undder temporary name and rename them after they are closed (or synced or
whatever). From what happened (partial file) I feel tempted to suspect that this
techique is not used in mozilla (at least for bookmark file). Should not we have
anything like that to make integrity of profiles higher? I believe other files
may also be in danger (prefs etc.)
My corrupted bookmark file
