Details

using version .9.6 I used the prefrences menu to clear my cache, my disk Cache, my history and the Location Bar History. I did so, to test whatever I had been working on at the time, don't ask why. Sorry, but I dont know the order i did them in either. Ever since, I have not been able to enter urls by typing them in the URL field, because, after i do so, pressing return doesn't seem to do anything. Some specifics: I can type, edit cut and paste into and out of the url field... I just cant get the browser to GO THERE. frustrating. Instead, I have been able to work around this issue by using shift+cmd+L to get an alternate url field to enter with. I have noticed though that the URL history is updated irraticly, but I can't say for sure that it is related to the larger problem. I have updated Mozilla 4 or 5 times with nightly builds to see if the bug has been fixed, but it has not, which leads me to believe that somehow, clearing my cache, history, and url history somehow screwed up my config files in such a way that makes all versions of the browser exhibit this broken behavior. I find it unlikely that all releases of mozilla on macOSX have a bug that won't let users enter in a random URL. This bug may not make sense to you, so feel free to email me any questions about the problem, I'm happy to help. I didn't see any bugs listed that look even remotely close to this, so I appologise if it is a duplicate entry.
Grant, can you still reproduce this problem using RC1?
