From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:0.9.8+) Gecko/20020129 BuildID: 2002012903 When I insert www.6to.de in the URL line and hit return, this site is opened and a few pop ups. In a task manager I see the memory usage growing from ca. 30MB to about 65MB and then the whole windows hangs. (Everythig hangs, mouse doesn't move....) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.open www.6to.de 2.wait
Added hang to keywords

WFM 2002012806-0.9.8/WinNT4 - memory goes to about 35 meg, Java starts for the ticker, etc. Reloaded it a few times and couldn't get it to fall over. I am using J2RE 1.3.1_01. Mind you, this page does all sorts of icky website tricks ... good for smoketesting? :-)
I use the newest J2RE 1.4.0-beta..., but I don't check the Peferences/Advanced/Enable Java button. I've installed 128MB RAM, maybe somehow too less for this site. I opened this with my linux system, there memory grew to 95 MB, but no hang - that's linux!!!!!! I never looked what plugins this site is using: I've installed: QuickTime Plug-in 5.0.2 Shockwave Flash Adobe Acrobat Shockwave for Director If you think of smoketesting, register! This is originally a paid start site! :-)
Removing Shockwave Flash File name: C:\PROGRAMME\NETSCAPE\COMMUNICATOR\PROGRAM\Plugins\npswf32.dll Shockwave Flash 5.0 r41 Mime Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Flash (*.swf) swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player (*.spl) spl Yes and reinstalling Shockwave Flash File name: C:\PROGRAMME\MOZILLA.ORG\MOZILLA\plugins\NPSWF32.dll Shockwave Flash 5.0 r41 Mime Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Flash (*.swf) swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player (*.spl) spl Yes solves the problem!
As described, reinstalling shockwave solves this problem!
