I tried to create a second mail account, that uses different outgoing
information like reply address and smtp server, but the same pop information,
like pop server and user name.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a second mail account
2.uses different outgoing information like reply address and smtp server
than first one
3.the same pop information, like pop server and user name as the first one
Actual Results: a message "this is not possible" pops up, you have to go back
and specify
different pop server and user name as first one.
Expected Results: the message should only be a warning.
It should be possible to create a second account with same pop server name and
user id, as in my case my second (ougoing) email address is just
a forwarding one, that forwards emails, to the same email address as the
first one. However i want to get access to the same pop server with the same
user id as the first one

I have a further suggestion. Should there be a way to add multiple sending email
addresses for account (or for no account). I have about five different addresses
(work, bands etc), which actually lead to the same IMAP account, but I'd like to
respond using the same email address that was used to send the original message.

Yes, I agree that the easier solution would be a way to add alternative aliases
to an email account that can be selected when doing a new email message or
replying.
If sorting by the different addresses is wanted, it could be setup via a filter,
or allow some way to make it appear as another mail box. In my case, I have
filters setup for different mailing lists that act based on what email address
it was sent to, although they all are aliases of my main account.
