The problem is server-side, the server is serving the CSS file as "text/plain", and the HTML document has a loose.dtd Doctype. -> Evangelism?

Do have the same problem for: http://weltladen-lienz.home.attbi.com/ Where the text starting with "Aus der Presse..." should have a grey background. The stylesheet is served http://weltladen-lienz.home.attbi.com/theme/Master.css as text/css So what is wrong here? Thanks
Summary: background colors missing → finance-on.net - background colors missing
This bug always occurs with external stylesheets, and never occurs with in-document stylesheets. It does not seem affected by DTD; see, for example, www.dioi.org/index.html with the XHTML DTD and www.dioi.org/webvols/d112.xml which uses the XHTML+MathML DTD.
