Actual Results: The test machine "McBain" using Firefox 44.0a2, when visiting www.twitter.com, the videos on the homepage display the text "This browser does not support video playback" when clicked on. Screenshot attached. Expected Results: Videos on twitter should play normally. Steps to Reproduce: 1 Using Firefox 44.0a2, navigate to www.twitter.com 2 Scroll down the the featured tweets section 3 Find a tweet that has the video play button 4 Click the play button 5 Observe that the video does not play and the text "This browser does not support video playback" appears NOTE: Using same test machine, Chrome 46 was able to play the twitter videos normally.
NOTE: Forgot to add that I installed the latest Flash (19) for Firefox and it did not fix the problem.
Reproduced with https://twitter.com/NASA/status/672143692052889600 On Windows XP neither Firefox 44.0a2, 42.0, 41.0 nor 39.0 play the video while Chrome 47.0.2526.73 does. On Windows 10 the same versions support playback. Unfortunately I can find nowhere on support.twitter.com which indicates the platforms they support. For now I'm moving this over to Tech Evangelism to see if we can get someone from Twitter to respond.

Closing this as WONTFIX since H264 is not supported on XP and Twitter supports H264 only on web [1]. [1]https://support.twitter.com/articles/20172128
