Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0
Build ID: 20151030083518

Steps to reproduce:

I am using Ubuntu Mate. I have the default Firefox installed.
1. I went to the website digikey.ca.
2. I navigated to a subcategory listing products.
(example: http://www.digikey.ca/product-search/en?v=889&FV=fff40016%2Cfff802fd&mnonly=0&newproducts=0&ColumnSort=0&page=1&quantity=0&ptm=0&fid=0&pageSize=25)
3. Much like in Windows, you can grab an Operating System window and drag it quickly to the left or right to make that window occupy one half of the screen.
4. I did that with my digikey.ca Firefox tab.
5. I used my mouse cursor to hover over multiple images in the product array, scrolling down.
6. While moving my mouse to a new product, the image sometimes continuously "blinks" requiring me to slightly move my mouse cursor in a direction to stop it from "blinking".

Actual results:

The web browser tried to display an image in a resized window. The image constantly "blinked" showing the image for a split second, not, then displaying again.

Expected results:

The image should have displayed constantly, without blinking.

I think the "Tabbed Browser" component is the wrong component for this bug (it is not about tabs), it should be changed to the right component and I don't know which one fits.
replicated the steps i listed above on my current machine (windows 10).
same problem occurs. most likely an issue with digikey.
although i do agree with your comment, nivtwig.
The problem does not happen only when the window is half size of the screen.

It happens also when the window is resized (not maximized) so that it makes the position of the larger picture of the current product shown overlap the small pictures of the products, and when the mouse moves so that it is both above one of the small pictures and above the large picture, then the picture blinks.

It doesn't blink if you move the mouse up or down to be above one of the small product pictures that doesn't overlap the big picture of the current product.

Also, I see this in other browsers too (Google Chrome), so it is probably a problem with the website and should be resolved to RESOLVED as INVALID .
Moving to p3 because no activity for at least 24 weeks.
