User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151030084315 Steps to reproduce: https://www.onlinesearches.com/find/public/search_results?action=search&cam=5031&cam_id=5031&city=&controller=premium_search&first_name=john&last_name=smith&record_type=public&self_search=0&state_code=CA&utm_campaign=PM_OnlineSearches.com_728x90&utm_content=5031&utm_medium=PM&utm_source=OnlineSearches.com Actual results: I get a "Secure Connection Failed" webpage reporting that there is no cyper overlap. But no information is presented to help identify what cypher is needed. Expected results: The "Secure Connection Failed" webpage should report that cypher "rsa_rc4_128_sha" is needed.
Deprecated cipher suite: TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=onlinesearches.com
Blocks: RC4-Dependence
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: Untriaged → Desktop
Ever confirmed: true
Product: Firefox → Tech Evangelism
Summary: "Secure Connection Failed" messages should report the needed cypher → onlinesearches.com is RC4-only
Version: 42 Branch → Firefox 42
I realize the cipher suite in use is deprecated. And Mozilla is right to block access to it. However, it would be helpful if the browser presented (somewhere) the cipher that is causing the problem.
