(I Tried to send this as an addendum to another bug without success)

It appears to me that "view page source" goes back to the server
(which seems strange to me) and repeats the request made to load
the page.  But it does not provide the hidden fields on the page when
doing so.

This behavior would explain a variety of bugs in connection with
this item.
IMHO, this is already mentioned in bug 55583 and bug 40867.
Soon to be dupe of bug 55583.
Which bug were you talking about when mentioning '(I Tried to send this as an
addendum to another bug without success)' ?
