(In reply to yide1728 from comment #0) I couldn't reproduce. Is it possible that you've enabled some hidden pref that is causing this? Have you tried that in Safe mode/new profile? Safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode New profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Also note that in the latest Nightly (firefox alpha) this behavior is different. Clicking "Sign in to Sync" brings you to "about:preferences#sync". You can install it and confirm that the bug doesn't happen/still happens in Nighly (if you want to make sure). The link: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ In addition: I'm using Windows7, but looks like this this part should work the same way on each OS 1) After performing Step 2 in firefox 42, I get a page "about:accounts?entryPoint=menupanel" (which is different from "about:accounts?action=signin&entrypoint=preferences" mentioned in Step 4) 2) I noticed that on your screenshot url is exactly "about:accounts?entryPoint=menupanel" which is different from url in Step 4. 3) I noticed that apparently you've opened that page twice, because it always appears in the end of tab list. So (it just looks like) you've opened that "Firefox Sync" page from one source, then opened some tabs and opened sign-on page from another source. So please correct your STR if there's anything wrong with them. That'd be helpful.
