User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/47.0.2526.80 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: I have installed downloaded Firefox42 on linux (RHEL7) and it automatically updated to 43.0. I have installed Flashplayer 11.2. Actual results: On my OS I have both Firefox 43.0 and Firefox 38.x. On Firefox 38.x I could see the flashplayer installed in "about:plugins" where as I could not see it on the Firefox 43.0. Due to which my application is failing. On FF 43.0 Flash player version is displayed as 0.0.0. I have attached the snap shot of the browsers and Flash player version. Expected results: flash player should be detected on both version FF 38.x

Summary: firefox 43.0 does not add shockwave → firefox 43.0 does not add Flash Player
Are you using the mozilla.org build of Firefox in both cases? mozilla.org builds do not look in /usr/lib64 by default: it looks in /usr/lib for both 32-bit and 64-bit builds, because we don't know the directory layout of your distro (Ubuntu uses /usr/lib and /usr/lib32, RH-family builds use /usr/lib and /usr/lib64). So to get a mozilla.org build to work on a RH distro, you have to symlink from /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins to /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins.
