Permit filter to expire/go inactive after a given date (ala some other news
readers, like tin). Move filter to an active status rather than delete, so it
can pontentially be reactivated at a later dat.
Example - I post a message on a newsgroup, for the next month I want to see any
followups on that posting, I set a filter to watch that thread and set filter to
expire in one month, it watches the newsgroup for 1 month, then the filter goes
inactive.

ye Gods! Bug 123374 "Opened: 2002-02-04 11:43 PST" and here we are in 2004-03
already. This is surely one of the most useful enhancements anyone could make
to mail filters.

my own comment replete with errors, should read "Move the epxpired filter to
inactive status rather than delete, so it can pontentially be reactivated at a
later date."
