Expected results:

When I tried to find all of my bug reports without logging in (I'm a reporter named Nick Levinson), an advanced search for me as "is" or "contains" "Nick Levinson" or "is" "Nick_Levinson" found none ("Zarro Boogs") but a search for what contains "Levinson" found many, probably all of them. There was no other difference in how the requests were set up.

Please describe exact steps to reproduce the problem - Advanced Search (I guess that is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi?format=advanced ?) has many fields... Thanks!

Starting at the top of this page: Search (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi) > Advanced Search:

--- Summary menu as preset & field empty
--- Classification, Product, Component, Status, & Resolution: all (by shift-clicking)
--- Search By People: 1st column: only "the Reporter" selected, menu set to "is", & field entered as "Nick Levinson" (without quotation marks)
--- Search By People: 2d & 3d cols.: nothing checkmarked, menus at presets, & fields empty
--- Sort order menu left at preset

Result: "Zarro Boogs found."

Edit this search: link clicked but URL too long so can't edit

Repeat process (top of this page > Search > Advanced Search) except this time:
--- Search By People: 1st column: menu set to "contains" & field entered as "Levinson" (without quotation marks)
--- Sort order menu left at preset, which, this time, is about being the same as last time

Result: "30 bugs found." Example: Bug 1206441: "Reported: . . . by Nick Levinson"

Repeat process except this time:
--- Search By People: 1st column: menu set to "contains" & field entered as "Nick Levinson" (without quotation marks)

Result: "Zarro Boogs found."

Therefore, a full name search fails, whether using "is" or "contains", but doesn't reveal that it is failing, because it essentially claims that a search was performed and nothing matched. A searcher has to know that at least one bug should have been listed.
