User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151219004005 Steps to reproduce: 1. Try to Download something (like .zip file or .deb file). 2. After clicking on download button you have to chose what to do with your download. (For .deb files you have a option to open it from Ubuntu Software Center in Ubuntu) 3. Now try to change the Default Open With application by "gdebi" or "archive manager". Double click to gdebi or archive manager for select that. Crash UUID: 8064a4dc-2ecc-4a6f-a7c6-dd9782151219 Actual results: Firefox Crashes Expected results: GDebi or Archive Manager would be Default Application for Opening .deb files

I suppose the right component for this bug is Widget:Gtk.

Can you provide any link of that file which you faced this crash with (while downloading) ?

You can simply download any image or file, for example you can Download a .deb package from www.pkgs.org , now you can follow the step given top. I have tried it in manjaro & ubuntu.
I have changed default app for .deb files to "Archive Manager" on my Elementary OS (Freya 0.3.2) I could download and open the "Barman" package http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/all/barman/download easily. No crash showed up. Thanks

Yes, Bug 1244305 is a dupe but there's more info there, so let's track there.
