User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0
Build ID: 20151029151421
Steps to reproduce:
After upgrading from v42.0 to v43.0.1, the stock ticker chart at: http://www.investing.com/commodities/crude-oil-streaming-chart
stopped working (blank). Tried rebooting, clearing caches, disabling all add ons, nothing helped. So I reinstalled v42.0 and it's working again.
A similar problem occurs on another site. In version 43.0.1 the stock chart on this site also doesn't work:
http://www.pmbull.com/oil-price/
Actual results:
The chart is just a blank area for where the streaming chart on investing.com would normally be.
On the pmbull website, the chart is also broken for ver 43, but it displays a funny little block of graphics instead of the proper chart in the upper left corner of where the chart would normally be. Whereas the investing website has a completely blank spot where the graph would normally be. Works perfectly in version 42.
No error codes or warning as displayed when using v43, it's just doesn't display the graphs.
Expected results:
Properly displayed chart.
OS: Unspecified → Windows 8.1
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
Version: 42 Branch → 43 Branch
WFM with FF43 on Win 7 64b.
Could you test:
1) in safe mode:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
2) with a fresh profile:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Does it help?

Safe mode did not help. Behaved exactly the same.
Creating a new profile in v43 fixed it! The chart shows correctly when running the new profile in v43.
Is there any way to figure out what profile setting got screwed up, so I can fix my old profile?

You can start by:
1) deleting all the cookies related to the website (click on the favicon > Page Info)
2) clearing the browser cache
3) restarting FF
After that, there is still the possibility to reset the profile to keep only the private data.

Works fine for me also on the latest Nightly 46.
Walter, did you had the chance to try the suggestions from Comment 3?

Ok, I got it fixed now.
I did what you Logic suggested above (3 steps) and it did not help. So I updated to 43.0.3, and tried that. Did not help.
Then I saw a button to "refresh firefox" under the support section here. I did that and now the chart is working again. I had to add back all my add-ons manually as the "refresh" wiped them out, but that was quick. So it was definitely something in the profile that got messed up between version 42 and 43.
