Steps to reproduce:

Keep google as the default search provider. Type ' in firefox search box and hit enter to start search using the google.


Actual results:

Instead of searching for the string ' it was searching for apostrophe (') in google search.


Expected results:

It should search for ' in google search.
Only for google the search string in malfunctioning. For bing and yahoo search its working fine.

ya, I can directly search it in google.com and it works fine. The problem occurs when I search it through firefox search box.
The problem is, search string itself changed to apostrophe (')

Hmmm, it looks works with Google Instant on, if you turn off "Google Instant" in https://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en&fg=1, the conversion will be visible.

chrome does this as well - it's how google search engine is handling it.
