Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204
BuildID: 2002020406
When Installing from 0.9.7 to 0.9.8, going to Mozilla mail asks if you want to
make Mozilla Mail the Default Mail Client. selecting No will make No E-mail
client the Default Mail Client, Restarting the external E-mail Client (in this
case, Outlook Express) will Pop up a box which asks you to make it the default
client, Which you would select yes. The External E-mail Client will remain the
Default E-mail client until you start mozilla. When You start Mozilla, Mozilla
will Make No E-mail client the Default E-mail Client.
If you go to edit->prefrences->Mail and newsgroups, Use Mozilla mail as the
Default Mail Application is unchecked. checking it will set Mozilla Mail as the
Default mail client, As expected. unchecking it again, closing the browser,
setting the External E-mail client as the default E-mail client and restarting
Mozilla will set mozilla Mail as the Default E-mail Client.
