Can you please try it again with JRE1.4 ?
BTW: Please select a better component the next time, Browser general will not
fix any bugs

reporter: does java.sun.com work for you?
are you able to open java console?
what is the output of mozilla before the crash
(please run it from command line)? Are there any hs*.log files
created?
- no problem neither on java.sun.com, nor on any sites containing java applets
i'm used to browse. that's the only crashing applet i've found for now.
- i can open the java console without any problem.
- yes, there's an hs file : see next attachment.
thanks for helping.

Attached jre log file proves that problem happen in the same place.
=> Dupe of 57372.
reporter: Please upgrade to jre 1.3.1 or 1.4
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 57372 ***

huh ?! I got this JRE recently as a .xpi package from Netscape's FTP server.
what's the point of distributing an XPI with an outdated of the JRE (1.3)
instead of the good one ?!!!!
should I report it as another bug ? "please update the jre xpi package available
from Netscape's FTP server" (!)

well, i closed this one because the problem is known and
"this is not mozilla/oji bug", indeed this is java plugin one
(moreover - there is no way to fix it on browser side :( ).
I do not know exactly why this version of plugin is distributed
by default.
But i am quite sure this issue was already filed -
search bugzilla for it and vote for upgrade.

It's OK with the jre-1.4.0 and the ns610 plugin
