The Nuwa process can't receive messages, but the childCount property of nsIMessageBroadcaster doesn't take that into account. In simple cases this can be worked around like in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1224703#c12 but it would be better to have childCount and getChildAt just do the right thing.
Nuwa is gone after bug 1284674.
