User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151222004010 Steps to reproduce: 1. Bind a local server to any domain on the .dev TLD. 2. Have it serve anything. 3. Navigate to that domain in Firefox. Actual results: Unable to connect error screen (even after DNS reload). curl, chrome, wget etc. all can load it correctly. Note that binding the domain to any local IP in the hosts file is *not* required here because any subdomain of the .dev TLD resolves to the `127.0.53.53` local IP. (I still did add it to the hosts file for an extra check, but it still didn't work). This happens only with the .dev TLD, not other ones. Expected results: Firefox should have loaded that page.

Thanks for filing the bug report, but 127.0.53.53 is a name collision record and we filter those intentionally. see bug 1162821
