Using Mozilla 0.98 and Netscape 6.2.1 with correct proxy settings for http, ssl and ftp entered into the preferences, logon to MSN Hotmail fails with error message: "Error establishing an encrypted connection to lc3.law13.hotmail.passport.com. Erro Code: -5985". The proxy in question is a Squid/2.3.STABLE4. There is no problem with this using Netscape 4.x or IE6, same proxy, same settings. http.log file of session is available. /BoB

Look like a dupe of bug 92742
After reviewing #92742 I agree the problems seems to be identical. However this a few releases later and the problem still has no real solution that I could detect and affects high profile sites. This is 0.9.8 and the problem is still there. Does anyone have any more "clear text" info on what happens on this issue?

Maybe this is really a dupe of Bug 135614. It seems to more closely match that bug.
