From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122106 Viewing a plain-text message which has asterisks for emphasis of certain words/phrases. Mozilla marks these up in bold, except then the phrase is wrapped in the incoming message. I'll attach a screenshot Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. View a plain text message which contains phrases marked with asterisks. 2. Note that where a phrase is wrapped onto a new line, it isn't bold. Actual Results: Word/phrase does not appear in bold when it contains a newline Expected Results: Should be bold
This screenshot shows the problem - the text circled in green is the correct behaviour, but the text circled in red should also be bold.
Is this due to the line break at the end of the line, that 'breaks' the span perhaps?
